Superyachts 153°, a land based support service for superyachts in Australia, needed a CRM detailed enough to track client preferences, medical needs and specific requests for a demanding luxury clientele, with just a two person team. Relevate implemented a Zoho CRM system to store and manage this information, with email automation supporting the business as its client list grows.
THE CHALLENGE
Superyachts 153° is a specialised Australian land based support service for super yachts, offering itinerary planning, visa and border entry assistance, freight and logistics and concierge services. Founders Corina Wilson and Dave Saul spent years working on super yachts before establishing the business in response to growing demand for super yacht support in Australia.
Providing premium service to super yacht crews and owners meant tracking highly detailed client information, from dietary preferences and medical conditions to small requests like fresh flowers or onboard entertainment. “The amount of detail and the detail across many different sections, whether it’s engineering or florist, so storing that information and having that information available, particularly at the start of our business when it’s just the two of us is hugely important,” Dave said. With a two person team, the founders needed a CRM efficient enough to match the standard expected in the luxury super yacht industry.
THE SOLUTION
Corina had seen the efficiency of CRM systems used at overseas super yacht agencies, and Zoho was identified as software suited to the business’s needs. Relevate implemented a CRM system for Superyachts 153° that could store and manage detailed client information across categories. Relevate CEO Avon Collis noted the importance of setting up proper systems early, particularly for detail-oriented businesses. “So many small businesses have everything stored in the owner’s brain and they can never sell it, they can never move it, they can never leave,” Avon said.
THE OUTCOME
Superyachts 153° now has a CRM system built to hold detailed client information and support the business as it grows, including email automation to save time as the client list expands. Beyond day to day operations, the founders see potential in using the data collected to demonstrate demand to suppliers, local councils or state government. “Having data showing an increase in vessels coming to Australia and being able to provide a local council or state government with that data would be a huge benefit,” Dave said. “I look forward to the potential that this can unlock for our business,” Corina added.
